National Youth Day is observed every year on 12th January to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a great spiritual leader and youth icon of India. The day aims to inspire young minds to follow the ideals of self-confidence, discipline, service, and national integration. In this regard, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of our institution organized National Youth Day celebrations with active participation from student volunteers. National Youth Day is observed by NSS unit of Jubilee Mission Medical College. The theme for National Youth Day is “Ignite the Self, Impact the world” An educational awareness class was led by Dr. Kevin Roch C, NSS Programme Officer, JMMC & RI. The session included an informative speech about emphasizing the role of youth in shaping the future of the nation and the importance of character building, discipline, and service to society. Session also included an interactive question-and-answer segment, which facilitated deeper engagement with the audience. The event was formally concluded with the collective recitation of the National Youth Day Pledge by all NSS volunteers and participants.
