Advanced Clinical Skill Lab
The Advanced Skill Lab at Jubilee Mission Medical College and Research Institute (JMMCRI) in Thrissur serves as a state-of-the-art simulation center designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and clinical practice. Primarily utilized by the College of Nursing and medical students, the lab is equipped with high-fidelity simulators and interactive manikins that replicate complex human physiological responses. This “mistake-forgiving” environment allows trainees to master critical procedures such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), mechanical ventilation, and neonatal resuscitation before performing them on real patients. The facility features structured skill stations for airway management, IV cannulation, and emergency trauma care, often serving as a hub for certified training programs in collaboration with institutions like the American Heart Association (AHA) and AIIMS. By integrating immersive learning and real-time feedback, the lab ensures that healthcare professionals develop the technical precision and emotional readiness required for high-stakes intensive care and emergency settings.
