The Orthopedics Department at our medical center is dedicated to enhancing the mobility and quality of life for our patients. From correcting deformities to managing sports injuries and degenerative disorders, we offer comprehensive care tailored to individual needs.

Specialized clinics, including knee, sports medicine, and pediatric orthopedics, cater to specific patient needs. Our department excels in patient care, research, and education, establishing itself as a referral center for traumatic and non-traumatic orthopedic problems.

We specialize in joint replacement, spine surgery, arthroscopic surgery, and complex trauma treatment, delivering excellent outcomes. Our physiotherapy and occupational therapy units enhance patient recovery, ensuring comprehensive orthopedic care for all.

History

This department was previously headed by Prof. Dr. K.C.Vishwanathan and Prof. Dr. Ramachandran.

Services

  • The department of orthopedics caters to about 200 out patients daily and has an indoor strength of 130 not including beds in emergency and private wards.
  • Three well equipped operation theaters for orthopedic surgeries.

Post graduate teaching program

  • We aim to provide comprehensive knowledge and training of the subject to post graduates. Also provide an opportunity to the trainees to develop skills and promote the strong desire to reach for excellence in the subject by conducting routine post graduate classes.

  • Mechanical research of pull out strength and breakage of implants.
  • Minimally invasive surgery.
