Reconstitution of Mess Management committee

In suppression to office order No B 636/2024 /JMMC & RI dated 21/08/2024, the
competent authority has been pleased to reconstitute the mess committee of this institution.
The revised composition of the mess committee is as follows:

  • Dr. M.A. Andrews – Principal – Chairman

  • Fr. Terin Mullakkara – Assistant Director – Member

  • Dr. Ranjith S – Warden, Men’s Hostel – Convener

  • Sr. Lucy Emmunuel – Warden, Ladies Hostel – Member

  • Dr. Thomson Davis – Assistant Professor, Community Medicine – Member

  • Mr. Manoj Varkey – PTA Representative – Member

  • Mr. Francis A V – Senior Office Superintendent – Member

  • Mrs. Sheethal – Dietician – Member

  • Ms. Erica Rachel Sajan – Representative, Ladies Hostel – Member

  • Mr. Alan Antony – Representative, Men’s Hostel – Member

The Committee shall have a formal meeting atleast once in two months.
50% of the members of the committee shall constitute the quorum.
Tenure of the committee is one year from the date of office circular.

The Duties and Responsibilities of the Committee are as follows:

  • The committee is responsible for identifying and selecting a suitable catering agency though a
  • transparent advertisement. Competitive process to met the required standards
  • The mess committee shall inspect the mess on regular basis to check whether the provisions given
  • in the tender document (agreement) for mess services are being adhered to or not.
  • The Committee shall be responsible for ensuring smooth and timely operation of the mess.
  • The committee shall verify the quality of food being served in the mess.

This is issued with approval of the competent authority and comes into force with immediate effect.
