Ref: Request received from Dr.Shilpa A V & Dr.Aaron David Kotturan, Nodal Officers, SSGP dated 10/07/2026.

In suppression to Office Order No.B/58/2025/JMMC & RI dated 24/01/2025, the Competent Authority has been pleased to reconstitute the Student Support and Guidance Cell (SSGP) of this institution.

The Student Support and Guidance Cell (SSGP) aims to promote the academic, personal and social development of students through systematic mentoring, guidance and support involving faculty members, students and parents. The Cell strives to ensure the holistic development of students, enabling them to become confident, clinically competent and socially responsible medical professionals.

Objectives :

  •  To help medical students transit smoothly from the school to professional college system of learning and to hostel life.
  •  To identify, counsel and support students facing academic, personal or emotional challenges.
  • To hold regular sessions on developing communication skills, other coping skills, time management, stress management etc.
  • To provide academic mentoring and professional guidance to students throughout their course. 5. To foster a supportive, inclusive and student-friendly learning environment that promotes well-being and professional growth.
