Sensitization Training – “Strengthening vigilance: ADR Reporting, Medication Safety and Materiovigilance” – Nursing students and Faculties

A training program titled “Strengthening Vigilance: ADR Reporting, Medication Safety and Materiovigilance” was organized on 19th September 2025 for nursing students and faculty members. The session was conducted by Dr. Kevin Roch and focused on the crucial role of nurses in identifying adverse drug reactions, recognizing medication errors, ensuring accurate documentation, and promoting timely reporting through the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI) framework.

A total of 60 participants attended the program and actively engaged in the discussions on medication safety and patient care practices. The session emphasized the importance of vigilance in clinical settings and reinforced the responsibilities of nursing professionals in strengthening pharmacovigilance and materiovigilance activities within the healthcare system.

The program also encouraged participants to adopt proactive reporting practices and foster a culture of patient safety through collaborative healthcare efforts.
