Hospital OP Outreach- OPD ADR Awareness:” Reporting today for safer tomorrows”

An Outpatient Department Awareness Drive titled “Reporting Today for Safer Tomorrows” was conducted as part of the hospital’s pharmacovigilance awareness initiatives. The program was led by Dr. Midhun and aimed at educating patients on the importance of reporting adverse drug reactions and medication-related side effects.

During the awareness drive, faculty members interacted directly with patients in the outpatient departments and highlighted how the reporting of even minor adverse effects could contribute significantly to improving medication safety and protecting future patients. Informational pamphlets on ADR reporting and responsible medication use were distributed among the public.

The initiative received positive responses from patients and attendees, successfully extending pharmacovigilance awareness beyond healthcare professionals into the community. The drive effectively reinforced the importance of public participation in promoting safer healthcare practices and strengthening the culture of medication safety.
