Terms of Reference
  • Frequency:- Patient Safety Committee review meetings are being conducted once in a month.
  • Quorum:- 50% of membership.
  • Meeting venue:- As decided by the Chairperson.
Responsibilities
  • To develop, implement & monitor patient safety programme to ensure the safety of the patients, their family, staff & visitors.
  • To oversee and ensure the following aspects of safety in the hospital :-

             1. Facility safety, Electrical safety, Fire safety, Medical gas safety, etc.

             2. Laboratory safety, Radiation safety, Patient safety.

  • To facilitate & review reports of monthly facility inspection rounds for gap identification & action taken reports.
  • To perform risk assessment.
  • To review the training needs & mock drills for safe working environment.
  • To analyse all patient safety incidents.
  • To perform proactive analysis of patient safety risk using tools like HIRA.
